Sorta. There’s really no such thing as “Free”.

Dad is paring down the tools in his garage. Since I’ve moved back to the Chicago area he’s decided to give me what he’s deemed excessive.

The problem is that they were my tools to begin with ! I collected them and paid for them..

That pic is only the beginning of it too. There’s this bucket O tools too. And the Toolboxes, compressors, bodywork tools, precision tools and some engine building stuff.

I think he may want to park something other than his Harley in the garage. At least that’s the hint I’m getting.

Bugger!

That’s kind of funny that he’s “giving” you your tools.

Thanks again for the Chicago recommendations. I’m on the Amtrak back to St. Louis now. Smith and Wollensky’s was delicious (and happily under $200 even with drinks and a hearty tip, and we had leftovers!), so we had some fun money left over to wander over to Binny’s Beverage Depot). Didn’t get to go into the Water Tower or the Signature Lounge because of time and energy constraints, and we spend the last hour and a half before walking to Union Station chilling on the Water Taxi, as planned.

I got some “free tools” today. I was putting everything back in the tool boxes after finishing a project and found the pair of needle nose pliers I’ve been looking for, and also the 10mm combination wrench I thought I’d lost and already got a replacement for.

The replacement I got from Sears was actually free. I had enough points on my card to pay for the wrench.
